Barney is actively seeking a bright, eager Acquisition Manager. This is a high visibility role, working with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must be excited to work with people in a client-facing role, as well as in data and strategy. The person in this role will contribute to all aspects of potential M&A transactions on behalf of various sellers of small marketing agencies looking to exit.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Gather financial and operational documentation from clients
  • Work closely with finance team, oversee the development of financial summary and valuation analysis and make sure all numbers are correct
  • Create targeted, potential buyer outreach lists
  • Structure and manage M&A projects from start to “go-live”, buyer vetting, management meeting, due diligence, and closing.
  • Evaluate and interview interested buyers
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients you are representing to get the best possible total deal value
  • Advocate for clients throughout the due diligence process, holding their hand every step of the way

 

Required Skills, Experience & Education

  • A successful candidate is a highly motivated individual who works comfortably and autonomously in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. You have a demonstrated ability to manage priorities and projects and the right mix of organizational and communication skills.
  • Critical thinker, resourceful
  • Highly organized, great attention to detail, follow-up, and follow-through
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, receptive listening, and collaboration
  • Accountable team player, working effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Bachelor’s degree
